The Festival runs from Friday 7th to Sunday […]
Following Steve’s admittance to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen he was invited to take part in “Spotlight”, a biennial exhibition of innovative work from selected Associate Members. The pieces Steve has made for this show are a result of fresh ideas he has been developing to create a new body of work, which he describes as follows: […]
This was a project which I felt particularly privileged to have had the opportunity to work on. In Autumn of 2016 I was approached by Suzanne Davies, the Capital Adminstrative Officer for Hywel Dda University Health Board in Wales. Suzanne was overseeing the development of a new Haematology & Oncology Day Unit at Withybush Hospital in […]
Having previously made a feature window for these particular clients a year or two earlier, I was delighted when they commissioned me to create a wall feature for their bathroom. The brief was quite open – as the clients knew that they liked my usual style of work, they were willing to let me come up […]
For this commission, I was asked if I could create a large feature window. It was to go in an existing arched window opening of a Grade II Listed Georgian home, and would be a focal point within the gentleman’s study. The brief was to create an abstract tropical garden design with rich colour and […]

Just under two months now until Art in Action in Oxfordshire, and Steve is busy making in earnest! These “Phosphorous” mini shell bowls are part way through their cold-processing – having been coloured, fused and slumped, the edges are now being ground on a series of different diamond discs to give a beautiful polished finish. One of the best things about commissions is the opportunity it gives for Steve to try out new effects. We’re currently working on designs for a feature window in a school, and Steve is experimenting with some ideas. Here are some of the test pieces…
Steve was commissioned to create two bespoke features for the kitchen which is explored in this article on housetohome.co.uk.
I treated myself to a few hours walking on the coastal path yesterday. It never fails to inspire me, and I can’t wait to try out some ideas based on these gorgeous lichen colours and rock formations. .
We’re often asked how our unique splashbacks are created, so we’ve had this short film made to give an insight into the techniques involved. Hope you enjoy it! https://vimeo.com/158603036
